Coral Ideas For Easy Care

Here is the corals I have:
two torchs
frog spawn
zenas
suncoral
star polyps
yellow polyps

Fish:
two damsels
maroon clwon
yellow tang

I'm now looking for something DIFFERENT but must meet these criteria:

1) EASY to care for (no direct feedings but can survive with cyclopeze swirling in the tank 2-3 times a week)

2) can survive and thrive in a MEDIUM light enviroment (I have a 40gal cube with about 150watts of 10k / Actinic using PowerCompacts)

3) something COLORFUL - thats NOT greenish-brown like my torchs and frog spawn... something blue or purple or red or some other color

IDEAS anyone ?????

zoanthids would be a good choice....you can find them in almost any color and from my research don't really like direct feeding

I'd say zoo's, mushrooms, and ricordias (sp?). You can find those in just about any color: blue, gree, orange, pink, purple, ect. Just be careful of the ones online as they are not always the same color as promised.

if your Ca and Alk levels are good, you could even try a plate coral. pretty easy and come in all kinds of colors.

for blue...i'd go with 'shrooms.

I agree, mushrooms are easy and grow quickly, you can get them anywhere, buy frags if you can, they are cheaper and the 'shrooms multiply fast. Also any type of leathers (devil's hand, etc.) can come in yellows and greens. Zoos are terrific because they are so varied in both color and size - - just my $.02.
