Coral feeding

Hi guys. Been a little while since my last post (why is this beginning like a confessional?). Anyhow, I know I could do a search and get results, but you all have a few more months of experience since the last time someone posted a "how do I feed my coral" thread, so I am going to start a new one.

What do you use to feed your corals? how much? how often? Throw me your best recipe and how often you use it...and how you feed it.

Currently I am using a mishmash of frozen brine, cyclopeeze flake and DTs phyto which I put in some salt water and draw up/expel out of a turkey baster about 100x to "chop" everything up finely. I then use the same baster to spot apply to just about everything in my tank. I do this once a week or so. Everybody seems to be fine with it, but was wondering if there was a better recipe out there. Not to mention, do you all feed chopped fish/shrimp pieces as the books say?

I ask because I am going to be changing out some of my softies for LPS and some SPS in the coming month and want to refine my feeding technique a little.

Thanks for your replies and time guys!

-Ken

I just thought I'd like to throw out this site: www.reefchili.com
I also feed cyclopseeze, but only target feed the non-photosynthetic corals.

1) My fingers

heh heh, sorry Ken, I just had to do that to ya. I rarely feed my corals and they grow quite well. On occasion I will feed some frozen brine/mysis/cyclopeze to my anenome, ricordea, trumpets, and scolmyia. But that is about it. They seem to get enough stuff out of the water column or any left over flake food blowing around.

Lol Jeremy. Well, I just bought a small vat of the chili and well give a report on how I like it when I get into the container a ways. At least I can compare the results to what I am doing now. 8)

Ps., my cleaner and fire shrimp can help you clean those fingers up if you are ever so inclined to need help. Ha!
