coral beauty mystery...
i have had a coral beauty in my tank for almost a year. he has done really well and has even fully recovered from a bout with HLLE (after i figured out what his diet was missing). the weird thing is, though, that from time to time a horizontal, slender slit appears in his tail. the slit, over time, grows larger until it eventually divides his tail into two sections. with time, the slit starts to close up and the tail heals. anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?
