Coral Beauty

I have recently bought a Coral Beauty and it is not eating. I have a large Scopus Tang and two damsels in the tank. The tank is 75 gallon and 110 pds of live rock. I have tried Dried algea and Frozen brine shrimp. Can anyone tell alternatives or tell me why he wont eat. Maybe because he's new to the tank. To this day it has been 3 days.

Thanks
Brandon

Does he look like he is being pestered away from the food by the others? Do you know what he was eating in the LFS?

no he just is swimming from whole to whole at feeding time, no darts or anything in that nature signifying that he was scared or anything. They all get along fine, no chasing or nipping so im happy bout that. I dont know what he ate at the fish store, but i will check.

Thanks
Brandon

probably just getting settled in. check to see what it was eating at the store as was said, and also try some appetizing foods such as brine shrimp (live) and mysis shrimp to entice him. good luck. hopefully he's not being picked on by your large scopas tang, or your ****sels! they are NOT friendly to newcomers.

mine took about a week to feed. make sure to prethaw your brine and then dump it in the tank, instead of dropping in the frozen block. the loose shrimp will swirl all around in the current in a much more appetizing manner.

Did you see him eat in the store? (if not, you should have). How long was he in the store before you bought him?

Does he pick on the rocks/glass for algae? If yes, then don't worry - he's eating, he's just not eating prepared food. If he's not grazing, then he might have a problem.
