Ok, I retract my previous statement of CB shrimp as not be unfriendly. Yesterday I got two
peppermint shrimp and acclimated them to the tank, and got them in the water about the time the lights went off. Well, this morning I looked in my tank and my CB shrimp already had one in his mouth! It's a shame because the one that he had in his mouth was full of eggs. Even though more than likely they wouldn't have developed, I'm still pretty upset. Has anyone else had this problem? What else could I have done to keep this from happening? Or is there anything else? Could it have been because he was hungry? I was cutting down somewhat on putting things in the tank to battle a little bit of hair algae that just won't seem to go away. Also, I got a
flame scallop that the CB seemed very interested in, but never tried to attach him or anything, just hung around him like he was trying to protect the scallop or something. (Sadly, the scallop already decided to move himself to the back of the tank behind some LR). Should I be worried about the scallop at all?
