they are very picky and there is no promise that they will eat the aptasia. they may also nip at your coral.

you could try a few peppermint shrimp, they seem to have a good success rate.
they are pretty inexpensive too.

yea peppermint shrimp work great imo, worked for my aptasia problem. just 2 in a 125gal. took about a week, i never saw them, just my aptasia kept disapearing, now no aptasias. still havent caught a glimpse of the shrimp since i put them in there. there was a couple dozen aptasia at least.

I would get peppermint shrimp for that purpose. I have a copperbanded and he will not touch the aptisia. They are also picky about what they eat

I loved my copper banded until it impalied (sp) itself between a rock and my pink birdsnest coral. That thing is sharp.

CBB are also very difficult to acclimate and begin eating in captivity. I think the mortality rate is around 50%. Definitely something to keep in mind. I think it's on my probably not again list.

I seem to have troubles with Shrimp. I haven't tried on in my 90 but I tried 3 different kinds in my 25 and they all died in less than a week!

you may need to look at options outside of the tank. i recommend taking the rock out and using ablow torch on the aptasia to kill it... yes i really mean it.

Actually I have had really good success with the blow torch. I roast them then I cook the rock for a month and keep checking for new pop ups and roast them too. There are just a couple peices right now in hard to get spot that I don't want to remove. Joes Juice only kills the crown for about a week then the are back.
SO I just ordered 2 peppermints. They get here on friday, and I plan on drip acclimating them. So wish me luck!

I would do the peppermint shrimp route, I had a 90 that was infested with aptasia, added 5 shrimp and over a few weeks all the aptasia disappeared.
They seemed to like the smaller aptasia better, but eventually even the big ones were gone. ..
