Compatibility ?

Hello, I have a 3 inch Porcupine Puffer with other peaceful fish. I know you can put some live corals with caution with the Puffer. I just purchased a green starburst. Is this O.K?

Thanks!

if you mean green star polyps ... probably not ok. the puffer will probably eat them.

the big puffers like to eat. could you post a pic of the coral in question? puffers like to crunch on things, so you might be ok with an ecrusting gorgonia, shrooms, and zoas. hard corals like LPS and SPS i would not try. i would also not put a clam in the tank.

puffers are also known to chew on rock. it is one way that they keep thier teeth filed down. they will probably eat the coral AND the rock that it is on. (IMHO,kinda like a parrotfish in a reef tank).
