So i sold all the smaller tanks and have been in the process of moving my stuff all day with the help of Bemo. I figured that i would drop a line to show my procedure.
2 days ago i started to fill a large bin with RO water for the transfer. because i have had some issues with coral disease in my current setup i wanted to avoid using my current water.
when the bin was filled i used a little trick that i have done before to season the water quickly... I pulled all of the
bio balls out of the sump on my current system, rinsed them off in SW and floated them in the large bin with my new saltwater mix.
Today i started by taking a bin and filling it with 4 gallons of water then per the directions I added lugols solution to the water. I have then been progressivley been dipping all of my coral in the solution to try to eliminate the disease issue. as the dip completed i have moved all of the coral into the large xfer bin to wait for the final aquarium to be set up.
when my current tanks are empty i will get them out of the way and then set up the 90 in their place. when it is in place and ready to go i will pump the water from the hold tank to the final tank and move the coral as i go. pending the arrival of a new 250w MH setup i will be using a combe of VHO's to light everything for now. I have thrown a few pictures up to show whats going on.
