Colt sick or just PO?

My colt started shrinking last week. it used to be the size of a basketball and is now darker in color and very small and shrunken. There is no tisssue loss and nothing in its enviroment has changed. Is it sick or just Pis*sed off or shedding, or something like these soft corals so from time to time?

If there is no tissue loss i wouldnt sweat it being all shrunk up. They do that from time to time for all kinds of reasons. If its that ticked off dont mistake the outer shedding it will probably do coming back as tissue loss.

I jsut meant that many leather type corals do this shrinking thing from time to time. And it is not uncommon for them to shed anywhere from a little to a lot in the process of looking good again. This is not bad tissue loss or something to be concerned about as long as the shedding is superficial and not deep within the flesh

I had two colts shrink up at the same time after changing the flow in the tank. I thought for sure they were gonners. They stayed all shriveled up for over two weeks then slowly started to open back up.

you sometimes dont notice that they have slowly been getting darker over the past couple weeks, but you really notice just how bright and new they look after they shed. i have 2 open brains that go through this shrinking angryness every now and then too, but they always pop back in full force.
