Colt coral was splitting, so I helped

Hey all,

I got a colt coral about 5 months ago and it was growing like crazy. I started to see a natural split developing in the trunk, so a week ago I took a scalpel blade and finished the split of the base.......Now I guess I can take one half out of the tank and trade it. Is it OK to keep doing this as it continues to grow?

Sure most octocaorals(softies) can be propped this way. You can either increase the tanks inhabitants or trade with LFS or other reefers(the prefered choice, if you have them nearby)
