co2 reactor


do i really need a co2 reactor to use a calcium reactor? thanks in advance guys

Not sure I understand the question, but anyway. Yes, you need a source of carbon dioxide to use a calcium reactor.

thanks i have had a tank for about 4 years and i am getting ready to set up another one wasn't sure how it worked just heard alot of people talk about these items. thank you again

CO2 reactor is for planted FW tanks, it puts CO2 in the water for better plant growth.

But for a CA reactor to work it requires CO2.

Are you asking if you need a pH controller to run a Calcium Reactor??? That seems to be the usual question...


If so, see THIS THREAD started by Joe Henderson. Lots of information on the setup by both with and without pH controller adjustment and set up for a calcium reactor using aragonite and CO2.
