that is sooo cool. and what great pix. i wish my camera took pictures like that. will clowns just do that on their own in a show tank? or did you have to put them in a separate tank?.

jibber They are in the display tank, and are doing it on there own. There is no chance for the fry to make it in the main tank but it is cool to watch there natural behavior.

There going on two years old and this is there first batch.
I do not plan on raising them and I know they wont make it in the tank.
You can tell when they are about to spawn they do the shutter dance to each other and start cleaning a spot on the rock.

Congratulaions!!
Ours did that after 2 yrs as well...whenever the spirit moves them...and then they hatch in like 8 days, I think, and then they spawn again in exactly -- I forget how many days, but it's exactly what Wilkerson's book says...
