clownfish hosting

I have two ocellaris clownfish and was wondering if they would host a LTA?

They could possibly learn to adapt to it but I have heard stories of tank raised never hosting anything. My friend has 4 false percs with 3 bubble tips, 3 condies and a flower pot and his clowns host with all of them. I was suprised about the condies because all I ever heard about them was that they were fish eaters.

Welcome to TRT Cais49er!

It will depend on the fish. May or maynot host

Maybe...maybe not.

Best way is to get ones that are ready mated w/ a anemone at the LFS to be sure.

It is definitly hard to get clowns to take to an anemone. Some will and some won't. You have a better chance by choosing the right anemone though. Bubble tips are hardy and some clowns will host with them. I think your best bet would be a ritteri or a carpet for your particular clowns. But like everyone has said before, there is no guarantee they will host.

Our pair hosted in a Rose BTA then they split off and hosted when the anenome split.

We lost everything during the move from hell but my new pair hopefully will host in a new Rose that I find this summer.
