Clownfish
Okay I have been looking at clownfish and I can't decide wether or not to get a pair of Ocellaris clowns or a pair of True Percula clowns. So I decided to create a poll and have everyone on here help me decide.
If you vote please list why you voted for what you did, pros/cons to each if you know of any.
Thanks!

I say true perc cause they host easier, but I like the look of a false one better.

I like the look of false better but they wont host alot of anemonies. I think the carpet is the best for them. I have seen a pair host in a mushroom.

liveaquaria.com has them for around 35.00 a piece I think. Do you think i could do a pair of either false or true percs and a pair of black and white in a 90 gallon?

it might be ok, but they are very similar, and I wouldn't suggest it. Maybe skunks or a maroon but its risky either way. I have heard it done in a 240, but who knows. It is better not to push the limits IMO. As I have and not been happy with the results.

If you're not going to go black o's (that would have been my vote - love them) then go true percs... look around and find some that get some pretty cool coloring... A lot of them blacken up a bunch between their stripes and look really cool as they get older...

i would vote for other.
You should check out rods oynx clowns that he breeds and sells. They are the best looking clowns i have seen. I will be getting a pair from him in March when they will be large enough to be shipped.
