Clown Sucking On Bta Tennicle
I got a new false perc to go with the older false perc. The older clown hosts in a large BTA that is very healthy. So far everything is fine but I have noticed that the new clown has begun to suck on the BTA tennicles. It is so wierd looking because he will put almost the whole thing in is mouth and it looks like he is sucking it(trust me I am trying not to paint a pornographic picture.....but it really does look dirty). The new clown is a still a baby. What on earth is he doing and will this hurt my BTA?

Sounds like the clown is taking the whole "symbiotic relationship" thing to a whole new level of intimacy

No.......the clown is fine. He kept going back and doing it over and over. The larger clown kept nudging him away but when the larger one would look the other way the little one would do it again. This little clown is either a major pervert or a circus star b/c he puts away about 3/4 of a inch of the tennicle and then just slides it back out of his mouth. LOL

I have seen this happen several times before - and I haven't gone blind yet
I've even seen a tomato clown bite a tentacle right off.
I don't know what the purpose of this activity is, except to make the hobbyist squirm and think naughty thoughts

I also thought the same thing , that the slime did not exite the stinging cells of the anemone.

Maybe when this happens its becasue the clowns are mad that they arent exciting the anemone, and are trying to stimulate it in other ways
