Hey all!! I have in the not so far past moved all of my 75 gallon reef to a 30 gallon ( I know, blasphemy!) Now I got this 30 gallon reef with about 65 pounds of live rock and enough live sand for a 4-5 inch sandbed ( I think around 90 pounds)a remorah pro skimmer, and four 4 foot vho lights rigged on top ( the 2 footers are on back order from premiumaquatics) The only fish inhabitant for a long time has been my
six line wrasse. Well, I just recently added two
false perculas and the wrasse was not happy at all! He picked on one until it leaped the tank. I found it completely dried up and put it back in the tank and guess what, about 30 seconds later it started breathing and then swimming! I could not believe it, tank raised really are hardier. Unfortunately the little guy only made it one more day before being dried up caught up with him. He was still breathing the last time I saw him, but was laying on his side. I came home and found his tail sticking out of my open red brain coral!! I guess he floated onto the brain and that was that, hopefully he had passed away before the brain got him. Anyway I said all that to ask this, I got another false percula to match the first one. They are little babies right now and I am wondering if they will pair up. I thought I read a post here somewhere that if you get them young enough one will become the female and the other the male and they will pair up? Is this right?? Also will this be too much bioload or am I allright as far as fish (I wanted one more fish but prudence has stayed my hand)
Thanks in advance you all!!
