Clown Host Question

Hello again wonderful community of TRT! I have another question to ask all of you. I currently have two clownfishes that is hosting in a Purple LTA. I want to purchase another Anemone sometime in the future (hopefully a nice Rose BTA)
  • Would my clownfishes readily move to another Anemone?
  • Is it possible that they will host with both?
I've seen a Percula (I think I'm talking about the right one) hosting in a carpet anemone AND a torch coral(which were about 2 inches apart from each other) at my LFS. I would love to add another clownfish but I know there is a chance my clowns will abuse the new clown. Well thats it! I hope everyone is doing great! Oh and I intend to update more pictures of my tank soon!

ah! Before I forget... I'm planning on buying a colt coral soon (I've seen bright yellow and pink colt corals at one of my other LFS) and want to propagate them in the future. Now If I read everything correctly in the forums... the basic procedure of propagating them is cutting off a healthy "branch" and ?superglue? it to coral-rubble/frag disk? Thanks again!

It is possible they will host with both. I have a maroon clown that hosts in 3 anemones while my perculas host in a torch coral. It is hard to say if the clowns will host for sure with a new anemone. Perculas tend to be picky. They do host in bubble tips but not always.

brain got it.
clowns are a fickle lot that is for sure. they may or may not host periode.
what size tank do you have?.
with the soft coral, yes that is the way to do it, make sure the blade you use is new and cleaned first.
