Clown Eggs

After 14 months of being in the tank my wild caught ocellaris have layed eggs

When I purchased the clowns I was told as they are wild caught they probably will not lay eggs, and after 14 months I started to beleive it!

Came home from work yesterday and noticed that one side of my bta was retracted, as if something had bothered it, closer inspection relevealed that it was the clowns fanning the eggs that was annoying it

Today the nem has got used to the extra movement and has opened up covering the eggs

Ive spent an hour trying to take a pic but my camera will not focus on the eggs so heres a blurry one...

Heres another that I can just see the eggs, you need a good eye to see them

It's made all the weekly water changes and general maintenance of my tank over the last 2 years worth while

Very Cool! I have two pairs of True Percs that I hope will lay eggs one day.

Awsome! That's going to be fun to watch Do you have any plans to raise the fry if they hatch out?

From what ive read, sadly there doesn't sound much hope for this batch

Sounds like as soon as they hatch they'll go for the light, then I guess my royal gramma and chromis will pick them off

I've no means of keeping them even if I did want to disturb my tank and nem by trying to get them out

Guess i'll let nature take its course

I've been doing a little extra research about my clowns and i'm confused

My clowns was sold to me as wild caught ocellaris, which I thought where perculas? I didn't think there was any difference? now I've read that the black bands are thinner on ocellaris than percs?

This pic was taken when my nem was bleached so quite old, but the best pic i've got of the female..

What would you say she is?

Regards Matt
