Cloudy Eyes

My fish have cloudy eyes and a loss of appetite. What could this be?

Seems that all of the fish are starting to get something. I had a new addition which died in 2 days. Ever since then my fish have been acting funny. Now 2 have the cloudy eyes. One of those has rapid breathing. I am afraid it is too late for the one but I am afraid it is going to kill all of my fish. I dipped all the fish in formalin 3 and have been treating the tank. Is there anything else I could do?

sorry to hear about this Brian. Wish I knew something more for you to try but I am at a loss. Might cut back the lighting so they have more down time. I have heard it helps reduce stress increasing their ability to fight disease. Now this may be just an old wives tail, hopefully someone will know what more can be done.

These are all clownfish. I have 2 percs and 2 black percs. One of the regular percs did not make it through the night, I would have had 3. I am cutting back on lighting, I heard the same thing about the lighting. I am using Para Guard in the tank and feeding with Garlic Guard. They still struggle with eating. One of the black percs is eating very well.

I am going to try leaving the lights off for the day. They seem to be a little more calm. They are laying in their anemones except for one. If I can save 3 out of the 5 I will be happy. Does anyone know what this could be? Please don't tell me Brooklynella.

http://www.marineaquariumadvice.com/...-Disease-2.htm try this. May be time for serious medical treatment. As long as it's not fungal you can use metradonidozol(sp) by seachem. It treats viral, bacterial, parasitic. Can be used in reef aquariums. If you can qt, you can try a stronger med.

Doesn't that have to ge ingested. I am having trouble with them eating as well.

Seems that the cloudy eyes is a secondary infection. The rapid breathing is the only other sign.

Current treatment:

Seachem Focus with Garlic Guard (not the greatest if they don't eat)
Para Guard

Formalin 3 dips

Is there really anything else I can do besides making things a little more comfortable?

Now this has advanced to fin rot. I have done a water change and added some Melafix and Pimafix. What are the chances of them pulling through? This just keep leading one thing to the next.
