Question

Closed loop question

Okay, my primary CLS is driven by an 850gph external, originaly it was set to have a "nozzle I each corner blowing across the tank side to side. Would one on each end work just as well considering the narrowness of a 55? Its plumbed using 3/4 PVC and will have a SCWD in the future. Its all over the back as the tank is not drilled.
Thanks

Robert

IMO one on each end should work real well, Robert.

Robert instead of having it blow end to end, I would direct it just slightly towrds the fron glass. This way you sweep the front and bounce som off into the balance of the tank.

Well I tried it with one nozzle on each end and the velocity was a little more extreme than I wanted so I did it with two on each end, on in each corner. But in order to get the water all over each set has a 90 and a 45 degree. Each 45 is kitty corner from each other as are the 90s. None of them point to the other so the flow isnt canceled out. This along with the spray bar and the return dumping in from the top at two 45s pointed at the frontbottom corners. should do a good job of wiping out dead spots. Ihope, cause that is some cluttered plumbing behinf the tank. Ill post pics in a new thread in a few bfore I glue.
