closed loop

I need a CLS in my tank. I was wondering where I can find an easy design? I have a maxi-jet 1200 I am hoping I can use on it. I may need a more heavy duty pump. That will make a Mag 9.5, a Rio 3100, and then what ever I would need to run the CLS.

This is for a 150? If so you will want something much bigger to realy add some flow. Im assuming this is going to be an over the back or in tank set up? Where do you want the flow to be directed?

Yes it is for a 150 gallon reef ready tank. When I put in the live rock I want it to aim at the back of the rock just to move the water around and add more flow. I was thinking of a T-shape or a U-shape that comes over the top of the tank and down behind the rock to hide most of it. I want to put the purple PVC cleaner stuff on the PVC to hide it somewhat.

I'd be interested in any other ideas that might be better.

Yeah I am using it to get the water from the sump back to the tank. It's a Rio 3100. I've heard they aren't good but for now it is working. I am also ordering a Mag 9.5 to run my DIY skimmer I made using the mantled monsters web site. Will I need 3 pumps?

Wow that will take up a lot of outlet space just for that and the heater, and the lights when we get those made. That will be later though because I will have to get some live rock. I will do a water change when my sand comes in. I ordered enough to make up 160 gallons online for (S/H) included almost $57.00. The shipping was the worst. The salt was just $31.00.
