Question

Clear PVC

Does anyone know a good source for clear PVC? I want to use it for my 125 FOWLR tank to house the Eel so I can watch it.

If you do a google search for clear pvc pipe, you'll find a bunch of campanies who manufacture/sell it. It's not cheap, and they will usually not sell you a small amount. You can also try to find a plastic store in your area. Look in the phone book for "plastics". HTH

Two things come to mind. Clear will most probably grow algae unless it is continually perturbed by the host. Second, you have to remember (as I would guess logically) that eels use tubes as a means to hide and protection. The tube is not really doing what it was put in there to do if it is clear. Just as you can see in, the eel will be able to see out...and possibly not be a favorite or maybe just be a last choice of the intended host.
