Cleaning crew.

So here we are, 4 weeks into the new tank. Checked all parameters, Nitrate very low.
I have 15 hemit crabs and abount 15 turbi snails.
The tank in a 90 gallon. with 90 pounds of live rock.
I have a 2 inch sand bed.
I have alot of gargabe accumulating the sb.
I syphoned it out but i still get the accumulation. I have no fish or corals in the tank.

What other cleaning crew will eat the garbage on the floor?
Should I get more snails and crabs?

Are you getting brownish crud growing on the substrate that blows around with a turkey baster? This is part of the normal cycling process.

If you have a shallow sand bed (SSB) a quick vac during your water change should do you. Also, the powerheads should keep most of the crud in suspension where your skimmer can remove it.

I had the brownish crub or abrown algae. The current cleaning crew took car of the that. I have the brown crud in parts of the tank that are not easuly reached.
I tried a power head but it made a sand storm.

like phishnoob says, that's normal. You don't need anymore clean up crew

That bloom will clean up on it's own actually.
