cleaned and polished.....
i got my 20lb used co2 tank this week, and spent some time with a sander and wirebrush cleaning it up. i think a clear-coated semi-gloss paint job would be nice, but then, painting it yellow like a scuba tank would look trick also... i'll be looking at calcium reactors and regulators this week, so far, i like the tunze comline, no bulky external fittings required, and its well priced.

Hey Cro, now that its all prettied up I hope the Weld supply dont give you a hard time about removing the ID stickers and stuff. Might not since its only CO2

i've asked for a replacement sticker from the doods at werk, they will get me one when they go back to the factory, they said its not too important, since its only Co2, and not SiH4 or C2F6. though, getting a 20lb tank of nitrous oxide sounds really fun too!

You didn't sand off the information stamped in the tank at the top, did you?

Now you should send it to a place that can powder coat it in yellow. Though the guys at the welding shop might hastle ya when you ask them not to scratch it.

rick o, nope! it was hard stamped with "pepsi-cola", i only removed the stickers and the blue paint job.
calvin and jay, powder coating sounds nice! i've also seen marbled annodizing done to metal that also looks very trick!
geoff, i am gonna keep it in the cabinet if there is room for it, otherwise i will keep it external next to cabinet.
