Clean Sand????


ok ive been out of the loop for a while ...my tank is still up and running but without fish....i have plenty of LR in it with a sand bed.....how can i keep the bed looking clean? i see some of your tanks and they are georgous...me sand looks "dirty"....how can i make it look clean?

Lots of people use sand stirrers like starfish and gobies to keep it turned over

so it stay's nice and white.

or you could go the siphon route.... just clean the sand everytime youre doing a water change.
(I could be wrong on this but I think the majority of pics posted are "new" tanks, which could contribute to why so many look so clean)

lots of flow across the sand helps a lot.

how deep and what kind of sand is it?
