Clam Questions

I just got this beautiful blue clam about 4 inches. Not sure exactly what kind and it is the first clam i have ever had. Ive got him halfway up in the tank on his own ledge under 2 250 w MH 15k, and 2 110 watt actinics.

He seems very happy and he appears to open up as far as possible every day as well as freely moves himself around on his ledge.

My question is this.....

I already give the tank its daily shot of liquid lunch phytoplankton, should i ever feed him directly?

I should have only posted this in clams maybe but it doesnt appear that those threads get looked at too often.

thanks

What would you feed him if you were going to?
