clam question

i was reading in some magazine that there is one of the clams that do well under low light, i think it was a croacea or maxima, i guess i need to be sure before i ask, but is this true? think one would do ok under some pc's?

The Derasa are a moderate light clam. The Crocea,Squamosa, and Maxima require high light.

It was definetly NOT a Crocea or Maxima. They require the most light of all the Tricacnid clams.

Check out Daniel Knopf's book on Giant clams, the Dersa clams are moderte light clams, but require some more dependency on filtration feeding as a consequence. As a general runle of thumb, the Dersas are also less colorful (but not always).
