Question

clam question?

I just recently set up a 120 gallon tank. its doing great. earlier today i was looking at the tank like usual and something moved out of the corner of my eye. it appeared to be like a piece of rock moving, or detaching itself from the rest of the rock. upon closer examination i discovered it to be a clam embedded in a rock almost like its a fossil but its still alive. its actively opening up now. it somehow survived the cycle process and i cycled the tank with uncured rock and during the cycle i rarely turned on any lights.

is this wierd or is this pretty common? IS THIS A GOOD THING OR SHOULD I REMOVE IT?
COULD THIS POSSIBLY BE ONE OF THOSE REAL COLORFULL PRETTY CLAMS?

THANKS
SHAWN............

I have two in my tank. I think they can be somewhat common. Mine is about the size of a dime.

Mine Is About 2 1/2 Inches And It Looks Like It Could Be One Of Those Really Sweet Looking Clams, Because Of The Way It's In The Rock I Can't Get A Good Enough Look At The Inside. The Opening Is Facing The Rock, And It Moves Like It's Trying To Detach It's Self, Should I Try To Remove It From The Rock?
