Clam in predator tank?

I am going to have lps in my predator tank, as well as an anemone. Could I put clams in this tank.
Occupants

Volitan Lion
porcupine puffer
Blue Jaw Trigger
Yellow Eyed Tang
Snowflake eel

Pretty sure this is the final list. I am trying to get the hubby to agree to do a picasso trigger instead cause it doesn't get as big but we'll see. Let me know if any of these would harass a clam.

Is 500 watts mh lighting for them on a 90 gallon tall?

All that should be ok with a clam....im a little iffy on the porcupine because puffers seem to test everything, but you may be ok. And 500 watts of metal halide over a 90 should be more then enough for a clam. I would stick with the Blue jaw trigger because the picasso's are known for being good with tank mates one day, then out of no where he attacks and kills everything. I am also doing a predator tank with corals, seeing how both me and you are in GA i would recommend checking out Nemo Fish for the blue jaw. They have great prices and they are very healthy. thats where im picking up mine from. anyway, a clam should be fine.

I am going to take pics and actually start a blog. All of my tanks were running when I joined TRT so this will be my first build thread!

Um... hold on. Most triggers will pick at corals and i would not trust a clam with a puffer. the tang, eel, and lion are fine but the other 2 will probably cause big issues with the LPS at least and i would expect the clam to suffer because they taste good (expensive = taste good, in the reef tank world)

Now most of the online stores said they could go with corals. That sucks. More decisions to be made. I really wanted clams and I really wanted a porcupine. Now I got to make a really hard decision!

another concern is the anemone, I personally never had one but some people have reported that they move around a lot looking for a spot they like, I can just picture it going around stinging other coral in its path.

pretty much just reiterating a point. puffers like to try everything, the same as MOST triggers. your trigger is a zooplankton feeder so that should not be a problem, i hope not since i have one also.

puffers have those huge fussed teeth for a reason.

Thanks everyone. Well aware of anemone movements. Got lucky with the condy he never moves. If I get one there will only be one and will have plenty of space. So the Bluejaw will be okay in the reef just not the puffer.

yes, the bluejaw will be ok, its the puffer that worries me....IMO a clam is far more rewarding then the puffer....

Yeah probably wont do the puffer even tho I have always wanted one. A reef tank looks so much better than a fowler imo. Maybe I'll do puffer only tank with my 55 that way I get my puffer and my predator reef.
