I have a Rena xP2 pump. What is the difference between flow rate and water flow on the xp2 pump and which do you consider when buying an aquarium chiller? What happens if the flow rate on your pump is bigger than the flow rate on your chiller?

Welcome to TRT Jake

I'm not quite sure if you are using this pump for circulation in the tank or return from a sump?

If the flow of water exceeds the recommended rate for the chiller unit you may not cool the tank to the desired temp and possibly cause the chiller to work harder to cool the water. This will increase the cost of running the unit and might shorten the lifespan of the unit.
