chocolate chip starfish question.

HI, I had a question about the chocolate chip starfish could i put one in my tank? i'm not thinking about putting in corals in my tank for probable another 6-9 months. also do you think that it might eat my snails and hermits, maybe a shrimp when i get one?
I'v been eye balling it for some time now and i don't know if i want to get it.

I wouldn't if you plan on adding corals later

If you know you will be adding coral, leave it. They will eat anything that can not get out of the way including soft corals, tubeworms, clams or even other starfish.
