Question

Chillers?


I have a 54 corner and a 20 XH puting in a 250 MH i think i'm gonna need one. what should i get. low on cash wana go with best bang for the buck?

you can spend the money if you want but fans work great for me!! I have 2 250 mh and temp doesnt move more than a half a degree

as long as there is ample and clear air movement around the exposed surfaces of the water you could get away with just using fans. the more enclosed the hood is the less likely you will be able to get away with fans alone.

you have a big thing going against you on those tanks for fans alone keeping the water cool. those are taller tanks and not low wide tanks. that means the waters surface area is not as great. so the amount of cooling potential is much lower when it comes to evaporative cooling.

If you do decide on a chiller go with a pacific coast imports I have had 0 trouble with mine and the customer support is outa this world.
