Cherub angels/Pygmy angels in a reef?

Anyone done this? I have one in my 20g with corals and a clam. He nips at things here and there, but it appears as though he is feeling things out rather than trying to eat them. I am thinking of moving him to my 75g display tank, SPS and Clam dominated tank. Anyone had any experience doing this?

they are notorious for picking on everything. usually they do no harm. every now and then you hear of one that just starts to like the taste of clam.

Thanks Geoff...I've had the fish for about 2 mos in my 20g. So far he hasn't gone after the one clam I have in the tank, but I have noiticed him nipping at everything. he doesn't seem to eat it though. How do these fish get along with other fish? I have him with a 6 line wrasse and they sometimes flash one another. Anyone had experience with these fish? Let me know.

We just put one in my sisters 40gal with an ex large A. clarkii clown and 6 tiny green chromis. Little Pyg is not the least bit scared of that clown which must be 10X its size! Pyg is charming and outgoing and so far has shown no overt aggressiveness. He/she does pick at everything in the tank, however, and I am sure this picking could become a real problem if, like Geoff said, it developes a taste for something you cherish. Ours is not in a full reef, only a bunch of recordia and some encrusting gorgo, star polyps and a finger leather -so far the pygmy hasn't bothered anything. Could be a differant story with tasty, clam on the menue!

I was one of the lucky ones, I guess. Mine was a perfectly behaved little lady (they all start out as females); never picked at anything or displayed overt aggression.

They're tough fish though and have no problems defending themselves.
