chem clean

What do you think of the product chem clean? I was telling one of the LFS owners about my red slime algae and he told me to use this stuff. I really don't want to use a chemical to solve the problem unless I get an okay from a lot of you guys, which I don't think I'll get.

I have used Chem Clean a few times. It works but it is one of those quick fixes. It doesnt solve the problem it just quick fixes it. It would be ok to use but after you use it do lots of WC's because your skimmer will go crazy.

It may work. But by using it you're just treating a symptom rather than the cause.

The stuff works I have used, and you have to turn your skimmer off while you are using it.
I second the motion to find the cause of the Cyanao. YOu might want to cut back on your feedings. I know I read one of your posts that you feed your fish a whole cube of mysis in a day. Maybe you can cut that back to half a cube.
