A west coast gathering sounds great to me! With all this talk of Tom's I was wondering if there was anything established on this side of the states. About a 5 hour drive for me, but I may be able to find a way.

sounds great to me too... i would prefer dougs because it is closer but depending on carpool and time of year i may be able to swing it.

You are within easy driving distance, that's for sure. I would have gone to Tom's but had commitments here due to this house thing we are doing.
It looks like just a pop through the Eisonhower tunnel then you are only a couple states away.
Count us in. We should be planted by then and Michelle's mom can watch the kitties.
If we get this new house it is the ultimate party house though, and would be a great place to do a Central one in Colorado Springs. There is a ton to do here and plenty of room for those that choose to drink not drive.

My company has properties in CS - I could write off the trip! 
West Coast anywhere, I'll try to make it. We've had some memorable picnics in the past.  Let's just give everyone enough lead time to find those cheap SW Ding! fares.

About to volunteer as a meeting place, since i got 10 acres to fit ya all in, but the reality of pulling this off gave me a headache,and better to leave hosting one , to those super people that can create from start to finish this kinda thing,,,not me i'd implode after the first day of planning.LOL
Plus if i did a get together here, my wife would say, then she can have a family reunion here too, (her side)  and i've luckily squashed that thought many years ago.

Ok,.. Figured out that Redding CA is 915 miles from me,.. I've never taken my car for more than 400 miles at one shot,.. but I think I'd be willing to give it a go if something were setup!
