Checking in
Hey Guys,
It's been a while...and a lot has happened. I just got married, went to Hawaii for a honeymoon, and am now in an apartment with my wife! I don't have a reef (at the moment), and the itch is starting again. I'm going to take it REALLY slow this time, probably plan on building and DIY'ing A LOT! ! ! (as money is tight). SO...I'll be taking down my freshwater (which is still at the rents house). Probably trying my 15 gallon tall again. I will be building a custom stand, maybe even with room for a sump....not really sure yet about the design. I plan on using a lot of dried live rock (from other people's old setups) and building a custom style reef inside the tank and seeding it with a few small pieces of live rock. Well, that's about it for now...hope everyone is doing well and everyone got through the hurricanes with minimal loss (I know we have a few TRT'ers in Florida and Orleans).
Toodles,
Jeepjon

Welcome back and Congratulations.
Marriage is AWESOME. I'm sure if she loves you and knows your love for the reef, she will help make it happen, just like you'll try to make all her dreams come true.
Many Blessings,
WG

Thanks guys...yeah, marriage is great, especially when you have found a loving companion. I got some tools for christmas, so the stand will be starting soon hopefully....and then on to the actual tank. We'll see what happens as my plan evolves. I've got to get a good plan worked out on tank and stand and sump/sumpless depending on what hardware I find around my old fish stuff.
Thanks,
Jeepjon

Yeah, I've got tons of beautiful pictures of Kauai! Even some IR pictures (for a unique look at foliage). I've got some underwater, but they need to be developed and then scanned in. Anyway...back to finishing moving in (it's amazing how much stuff two people can fit into a two bedroom apartment! !)
