any stores I can buy them at? I guess I can order it online no real rush I work from home so if the power goes not and for some reason the hole in the inlet lets the water go to high in the scump I can catch it. I have tested it and it was fine but just want pace of mind.

you can not rely on check valves in a the salt water environment. they encrust with Ca over time and will not close properly.

do not get any of the spring action ones. these usually have steel springs in them that will corrode and the Fe in the water will feed algae. the flapper valves are the best choice if you really want one. make sure you get a clear one in order to keep tabs on the Ca encrusting going on inside of it.
