Cheap live rock for sale in Little Rock area

I unfortunately have to tear down my tank and have approximately 120 lbs of live rock. If anyone in the area is interested in coming by to take a look at it let me know. I am selling it for about half of what the local stores would charge. I also have about 100 lbs of sand as well. I need to know within 1 week.

I will sell the rock for $2.50-$3.00 a pound. Since I dont have a scale though I will sell all of it for $300. I dont know the exact weight of what I have but I estimate to be about 120 lbs or maybe more. I will also throw everything else in for an extra $100 if your interested. This is what else I have

100 lbs of live sand
1 coral banded shrimp
2 cleaner shrimp
1 yellow tang
1 scopas tang
1 sixline wrasse
1 firefish
1 brittle star(brown and black, not aggressive at all)
Approx. 20 hermit crabs
Approx. 12 snails

I am not selling filtration, tank, stand, or lights

Matt...

Are you getting out of the hobby?

You should also post this over at the WMRC (western maryland reef club) section of TRT. More targeted to people in the area.

Also, if you're NOT getting out of the hobby, you should check out the club!

I am not getting out of the hobby but I will be moving. I am in the military and am going to Iraq pretty soon. After I get back I will be moving within about 3-4 months. I would like to get my tank taken care of before I go. Also I dont really know anyone who has saltwater experience to watch it while I'm gone.

That's too bad and I hope you can get someone to help you. That is a lot of stuff to get rid of. I can get some LR at the LFS for $3.00 a pound so I think I'll just get it there when I'm ready. That's still just a lot of money. I've got 80lbs. of Agrocrete that I made during the summer. Some of the pieces weigh 10 and 20lbs so the curing is taking awhile. I'll wait though.

I 've already talked to a couple of local stores who said they would buy everything from me. I just figured I would give someone local a chance to buy the rock at half the stores retail price. If no one is interested though I will take it all to the store next week. Also I'm surprised you lfs sells for $3.00 a pound. Thats really cheap, around here it is $6 and up. The really good stuff is over $8 normally.

I got to thinking I think it does sell for $5.00LB. In Tulsa it sells for $6.00 and $7.00lb. That would be quiet a drive and I don't have the cash I don't think.
