Chalice coral...what do they love?

I got a little piece in my nano, it is supposed to be powder blue with fluorescent pink eyes. But I do not think it is very happy. How do you all make your chalice grow?

That sounds pretty cool. When you get it to be happy again can you post a picture of it?

I had mine mid tank and it was grey. Moved it down under a ledge and know it has doubled in 6 months and is a beautiful blue and red!
Here is a pic because I love pics.

BTW.. I dont feed anything.
It also the gets fiery red mouths at night with the lights out.

attach it to a rock, do not let it sit on the substrate, medium flow and low light. Its ok for the rock you attach it to to sit on the substrate, but you just dont want the coral itself in the sand

Thats about it. Although when I say low light that means I have mine as far away as I can get it from myh 250 w MH without beign in the shade. You also want to give them some space as they can send out some pretty good sweepers

I dont feed mine anything either. It sounds as though you have an alien eye, which is one of the sweetest ones out there

I have a handful of them....here are my two favorites, although that alien eye is on my list of needs

He doesnt look good joanne.

I would get him out of the light completely for a while Glue him to a rock and put him under an overhang with some decent flow on him. If at night you can se any feeders I would try geeding him as well. Also get a soft brush and keep that algae off of his skeleton where it is showing
