I know I'm only in the state every couple of years, but I wonder if I'd qualify for membership

Henry,
After all your horror stories about the rigors of winter...
I think I'll wait for the Spring membership drive

hey horge
if you want to see why winter is the most beautiful season of all drop me an email. i'll send you a slide show of my deep woods minocqua wisconsin snowmobile trip from last year.
not like you missing anything, however. this is the most mild winter i have ever seen for illinois. no snow. not even in minocqua wisconsin where there was 3 foot of snow this time last year.

I live in Michigan and have traveled all over the country (Hawaii included) and would not pick any other place to live. It's great to travel to the other places but I would never be able to live there. The 4 seasons we get are great here in the Mid-West. We don't die in the summer from 90+ degree heat but we do freeze some times (you can always put cloths on) and the one year a college when we got 250 inches of snow was fantastic.
