Caulastrea, please give me your thoughs on it.

I've found a beautiful specimen at my LFS. I feel for it within seconds. I've been reading this morning and it seems many sights have differing opinions on the lighting. Seems to me since it's so 'teal-ish' that it would be photosynthetic, thus requiring a good amount of light (opinions have ranged from low to intense though). Medium current seems to be the normal opinion though.

If anyone has researched or has Caulastrea please give me your thoughts on care and if you would recommend it.

It's a pretty easy coral to keep and most prefer medium to low light, but it really depends on what it's use to where it was harvested. Just use trial and error until it's happy.

I agree - it's a fairly easy one to keep. They are photosynthetic, but will usually happily take extra meaty foods. Ours is halfway up in the tank, under 250W MH. (It's gone from two heads to 12 in less than a year.) You probably don't need that much light - I think that it will adapt, but does need a fair amount.

Good luck,
Danielle
