Cath, I am throwing down the gauntlet...
OK Cath:
I am throwing down the gauntlet, and I expect you to pick it up and accept the following challange!
AS YOU KNOW...
... that I brought you a slightly used tank and stand with all the miscellaneous parts to refinish so we can assemble your NEW 40 USG system with a sump and overflow for an awesome system, and
AS YOU KNOW...
...that the stand needs only mino sanding, refinishing, sealing, interior painting, installation of the new bottom piece I cut for you and final caulking and
AS YOU KNOW...
...that I need to build a stand from scratch for my quarantine system for new specimens for a 45 USG reef system, that
I AM CHALLANGING YOU TO FINISH YOUR STAND SO WE CAN COMPLETE YOUR SETUP BEFORE I DESIGN, BUILD, AND FINISH MY STAND FROM SCRATCH.
THE FIRST TO COMPLETE WILL ENJOY A FINE GERMAN SHORT PLATE DINNER BOUGHT BY THE LOSER AT GERHARD'S GERMAN RESTAURANT INCLUDING THE WINNER'S CHOICE OF BEER.
I will be starting from scratch and have just bought some 2x4's so far for the stand, but I will make sure that it has a finised cabinet with doors and hardware, is sealed and waterproof inside and out, and is screwed and glued together, and finished to furniture quality to satisfy the most demanding of aquarists. Winner is the first to post a finished photograph of their individual project on THIS THREAD! I will post pix as I progress through each step so you'll know where I am on the project.
The gauntlet has been thrown down, WILL YOU PICK IT UP???
