Carribean Live Rock/Coral..

Does anyone know about Carribean Live rock and coral?? I was at the LFS today and the owner had a piece of LR that was about 15lbs, a little white in color, but had all kindsa stuff growing on it.. A few different looking sponges, some corals neither of us had ever seen etc..etc...

Apparently a guy he knows went down to the Carribean south of the Keys and came back with it... "The guy has a license to harvest so its okay"..

Anyways, he is willing to sell it to me for about $100.

I figure its worth the money, but i dont know what all im getting with this rock...

I would estimate it to have about 10 different sized and colored sponges, and about another 10 different sized and colored corals growing on it. Nothing too big, but I can clearly see the following colors...

red
yellow
orange
blue
green
purple
pink

and several multi colors...

red/yellow
purple/white
orange/purple

some stripped some spotted...

Do you guys think this would be safe in my tank? Or is there too much un-known to risk it?

Only on the weekends

OP, I wouldn't risk it, besides chances are a lot of that colorful stuff may not be super healthy due to transit time.
