Cardinal Fish with bad eye

I have two cardinal fish and one of them has something wrong with his eye. I noticed a few days ago that his eye turned white and it looks like it's pretty much gone. What could this be?
Is it something that I should be worried about affecting my other fish? Everyone else seems pretty happy and healthy.

I would, but I can't get a picture, they hide behind my rocks all the time. The only way that I can see it is if I look in the small space behind my rocks and I can barely get a glimpse.

Does the eye socket look white and swollen still?

I would QT just to be safe. If that is possible. If not I would keep a close eye on your other fish for signs of stress and illness.

It is still white, but from what I can tell the eye looks punctured so it doesn't look swollen.

Hmm. I am no expert...I would just keep an eye on him(no pun intended) Hopefully others will chime in with some better advice.
