Carbon dust all over the inside of the tank

Okay, I don't know what happened, but I hooked up my ozone generator to my skimmer and had the skimmer output piped into a bag of carbon, that was rinsed thoroughly. The carbon bag was partially submerged.

It seems that the ozone made the carbon start to disintegrate because now I have carbon dust all over the inside of the tank.

The dust isn't on the corals (thankfully it looks like the pumps kept the dust off of them), but it is all over the rock and the sand.

I am going to vacuum the sand and rocks and wipe down the sump and pipes, but it is unlikely that I will be able to get 100% of it out.

I do run filter socks, which are turning black now. Any other suggestions? Is there any long term effects I need to worry about or try to counter?

Thanks,

Mike

That's good to hear. I just vacuumed up the top layer of sand and do plan to blow off the rocks and get it into the water column and/or do it during the next water change and suck it up as I blow it off of the rocks.
