cant seem to settle: *CPR Backpack II or turboflotor multi?

ok, it all boils down to price vs efficiency.....what would be better for my 29g? The cpr backpack II w/o filtration media or the turboflotor multi sl...the cyclone is cheaper than the turboflotor...will it do for my size tank?
also...If i get the cpr backpack II, should i opt for the bio filtration media or not? im kinda confused on this issue. Ive heard that the filtration media will remove food and other small particles that some corals feed on....help!

I'd vote for the CPR. I have had one for years and love it. Its way more then enough for your 29. I do not know the other brand, so I can't say much about it. Also no on the bio-filtration media.

I have the Multi on my 55. Its pulls some realy nasty stuff out of the tank! It took some time to break in but it works great. I believe it was factory rated at 250 gallons but is probably more suited for a 150 or so. If you plan on upgrading in the future I would say go with the biggest capacity. Also the multi can fit into an upgraded system in several set ups. Either in the sump, outside the sump (like mine) or in the hang on mode. Its pretty versatile. The pump works great and like I said it pulls out some realy nasty gunk. I do know that alot of people like the CPR though. I think it depends on what plans you have for the future.FWIW Im happy with my choice!
