Can ricordias touch?

I have two ricordias, an orange and a blue one, in a 29g biocube. Is it ok if they overlap each other a little bit. They have been like this for about a week and they switch off which one overlaps the other. I have not seen any damages yet. If they are too close will they disconect and move or do I need to reposition them. Thanks.
