can i keep a birdsnest

I have been seeing them in everyones tanks for awhile and was just wondering if I could put one in my tank? For lighting I have 150mh pendent. Tha tank is a 54 corner. Just wondering if the light is good enough and what kind of flow do they need? So help would be cool

hmmmm.
birdsnests by many books require high light for growth, but if you look around some are doing well in lower lighting ( but still MH).
if you place it mid to higher in your tank i belive you will do fine with it

I bet you'd be alright. I've had pretty surprising success under T5 bulbs.

I'd keep it high in the tank.

High in your tank (upper third) with decent flow - a birdsnest should do just fine.

Flow is more important for seriotopa than light IMO, especially the bigger they get. You will of course get better colors under better lighting, but they will thrive and grow under less.

due to the nature of how they grow their branches have a tendency to block both light and flow from the inner branches

I just acquired a pink and a green birdsnest. Since my Pocilliopora is doing fabulous, I am expecting the same growth.
