That was my first thought as well. Then I read that the whole thing is only 1.5" in diameter. Then they posted a pic of the skeleton. Judging by those pic's most people would ID it as an Elegance. It's a very cool looking coral, but I have no idea what it is. All I know is that it is not an Elegance.

I am sorry about the picture quality. You are correct it is not an EC. When I first got it it was flat. Not at all like an LPS. It does not swell in size. The coral stays flat and puts out the tentacles for lack of a better word during the day. I feed and night and see nothing out on this when feeding. Thanks for the help.

The coral grows like a plate and the polyps grow in rows. I believe Duncan grows in round polyps.

That depends . I've seen then a number of ways . Most as stated above are just grouped as Elegance's . If the cluster is tight they can get rows of mouths. Once it opens up and grows a bit . You will know for sure . Good luck and keep us posted

I hope someone chimes in with a positive ID, because I'm very curious.

I hope you do. I probably want to know what this is worse than Seaweed88 does.
