What size would be needed to sustain a PBT? Sorry for the newbie questions.

even with a 6 foot tank man those fish are fast. my powder brown can dart from one corner to another in about .5 second. I sometime feel bad because my powder brown swims laps in my tank and i know he wishes it was bigger.

ya but he could live in it but you will eventually need to get a bigger tank like a 500 would be good for him in adult hood but he could live in a 180 or a 120 or a 135

I think total volume plays an issue too on how big a tank needs to be. The fish store here has the 200g tank Im looking at buying, with a powder blue in it. Its 60x40x20t, and he looks like hes doing great.

Very nice fish reefneck, Im so jealous. thats the #1 reason Im upgrading to a 200g tank.

Volume is good but tangs need the distance. They are a fast open water swimmer. They need distance.

I just got a small powder blue for my 180 and he gets along fine with my huge sailfin. I feed it misys shrimp, flake food, cyclopeze, Nori he eats about everything. They are one of the harder tangs to keep,.. but they are beutifull!

Whiskey

if i can ever get rid of my hippo ill try another powderblue. the hippo i have is especially agressive. i had a pbt for about 2weeks and the hippo was relentless.. the pbt got ich and died. i hate it how the better fish is always the one that looses!
